[1] BiographyAadel Lampe was born at Stranda in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Her father, Claus Ernst Lampe, was a parish priest. She graduated from Hartvig Nissens skole in Kristiania (now Oslo) and was then employed as a teacher at Hedevig Rosings skole, a school for deaf children in Kristiania. [2][3][4] She was one of the early leaders of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights, and served as its President from 1922 to 1926. She joined the board of the organization in the 1890s and served as Vice President during the terms 1899–1903, 1912–1917, and 1919 and 1921, when Fredrikke Marie Qvam and Randi Blehr were Presidents.[5] Lampe was originally a member of the Liberal Party, but later joined the conservative-liberal Free-minded Liberal Party, where she was a board member of the party's women's association.Together with Randi Blehr and Cecilie Thoresen Krog, she was a co-signatory of a letter to the national government which called for women being admitted to the civil service.[6][7] References1. ^{{cite web|url =http://kvinnesak.no/nkf-ledere/aadel-lampe/|title= Aadel Lampe|publisher = Norsk Kvinnesaksforenings|accessdate= February 1, 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web |url =http://allslekt.org/Blader/Annet/Nye%20Journal%20for%20d%C3%B8ve/NJD%202016-3.pdf |title =Døvelærer Ådel Lampe |publisher =NYE Journal for Døve, Nr. 3, Årgang 26 |date =September 2016 |accessdate =February 1, 2018 |archive-url =https://web.archive.org/web/20170916095042/http://allslekt.org/Blader/Annet/Nye%20Journal%20for%20d%C3%B8ve/NJD%202016-3.pdf |archive-date =2017-09-16 |dead-url =yes |df = }} 3. ^{{cite web|url = https://snl.no/Hartvig_Nissens_skole |title= Hartvig Nissens skole|publisher = Store norske leksikon|accessdate= February 1, 2018}} 4. ^{{cite web|url =https://nbl.snl.no/Hedevig_Rosing |title= Hedevig Rosing|publisher = Norsk biografisk leksikon |author= Thorbjørn Johan Sander|accessdate= February 1, 2018}} 5. ^Aslaug Moksnes.
