}}Aadi Dampatulu (English: Beginning Couple - Siva & Parvathi) is a 1986 Telugu drama film, produced by Nitin D. Kapoor under the JSK Combines banner and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao.[2] It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jayasudha in the lead roles and music composed by Satyam. The film is a remake of the Hindi movie Ghar Dwaar (1985).[3]

Plot

Shankar Rao (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) & Parvathi (Jayasudha) are the ideal couple, Shankar Rao resides with his two brothers Mohan (Chandra Mohan) & Sagar (Naresh) and a sister Kamala (Poornima) in their family house. To raise the family the couple does not have children of their own. Shankar Rao wants his brother should study well and settle at a high level, so, he slogs away at the work and also does part-time, to keep up the in-flow. But it is not enough, he has to allow only one brother to continue the studies. Here the younger one Sagar feigns illness, to make Mohan continue and become an engineer. Eventually, Mohan loves and marries Uma (Tulasi) daughter of a multi-millionaire widow Sulochana Devi (Raja Sulochana). Soon after the marriage, Uma a shrew, humanities the family members and swears to exact avenge by destroying their happiness. It works on each individual family member by separating them and spoiling the relation. Uma takes out Mohan to her mother's house where he gets ill-treatment, so, comes out and reaches Dubai to earn money. Sagar also leaves the house because of insults made by Uma. On the other side, Shankar Rao has to sacrifice his job and loses his house to perform Kamala's marriage with her love interest Bujji (Tilak). Parallelly, the society criticizes with Uma when she realizes her mistake and moves for Mohan. On the way, she has been attacked by goons when Sagar protects her. At the same time, Mohan returns, all of them goes in search of Shankar Rao & Parvathi. By the time the couple's condition becomes worst who are in deathbed. In the end, both dies together showing they are immortal.
