BiographyPhillip grew up in Bowie, Maryland and graduated from Harvard University in 2010 with a degree in government.[3] At Harvard, Phillip wrote for the Harvard Crimson.[4] She lived in Washington D.C. with her fiancé Marcus Richardson[1] before they married in May 2018.[5] Phillip joined CNN in 2016 and covers the Trump Administration. Before CNN she worked at the Washington Post[6] where her roles included national political reporting and general assignments.[1] She also worked at ABC News, where she was an ABC News Fellow as well as a digital reporter in New York City.
