| name = Abdallah ibn Khalid ibn Asid | image = | image_size = | alt = | caption = | birth_date = | birth_place = | death_date = | death_place = | monarch1 = Mu'awiya I | office1 = Umayyad governor of Kufa | term1 = 673–675 | predecessor1 = Ziyad ibn Abih | successor1 = Al-Dahhak ibn Qays al-Fihri | parents = Khalid ibn Asid ibn Umayya (father) | children = Khalid Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Aziz Umayya }} ʿAbdallāh ibn Khālid ibn Asīd was a member of the Umayyad dynasty and served as governor of Kufa in 673–675 under Caliph Muawiyah I.[1][2] He succeeded Ziyad ibn Abih following the latter's death.[2] His father, Khalid ibn Asid, embraced Islam during the conquest of Mecca in 628 and was killed fighting apostate Arab tribes at the Battle of Yamama in 633, during the Ridda wars.[3] Abdallah married two daughters of Caliph Uthman (r. 644–656), Umm Khalid and Umm Sa'id, though not concurrently.[4] He married off one of his daughters to a grandson of Uthman, Abdallah ibn Amr, who became the parents of four sons and two daughters, one of whom, Umm Abdallah, married Caliph al-Walid I (r. 705–715) and bore him his son Abd al-Rahman.[1] Abdallah's sons Khalid, Abd al-Rahman and Abd al-Aziz served terms as governors of Mecca under later Umayyad caliphs. Khalid also served as governor of Basra and another son of Abdallah, Umayya, served as a governor of Khurasan.
