In 1978, he was awarded the 129th Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the WOSM, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting.[3] He was also successively Minister of Health (1957–1959), Minister of Agriculture and then Minister of Industry in Indonesia.
