Early life and educationAiko Miyanaga was born in 1974 into a family of potters in Kyoto, Japan, heir to the Miyanaga Tozan kiln.[1] Miyanaga's father is a ceramic artist and a former member of the now disbanded avant-garde modern Japanese ceramics collective Sodeisha.[2] She went to school at Kyoto University of Art and Design and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music graduating in 2008.[3][5] Career{{section-empty|date=December 2017}}Personal life{{section-empty|date=December 2017}}Awards and fellowshipsAmong the honors which Miyanaga has earned are: Nissan Art Award 2013[4]Books
