It is one of India's largest privately held real estate developers.[1] Its market capitalization is approimately $450 million. Its core businesses are realty, construction, cement, steel rolls and construction-related businesses. HistoryFounded in 1985 as Percolated Steels, it is a flagship company of the Ajmera group. The name was changed to Ajmera Realty & Infra India in 2009.[2] Ajmera Realty & Infra India is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange ({{BSE|513349}})[3] and the National Stock Exchange ({{NSE|AJMERA}}).[4] The group entered the solar power generation market in 2012 with subsidiaries named Ajmera Biofuel and Contra Power. Ajmera Biofuel acquired a 49% stake in the Solar project at Osiyan, in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan.[5] Ajmera Realty jointly with the Mayfair group has been a major real estate developer in the Baharin Bay project at Manama.[6] The Ajmera group diversified into the manufacture of seamless capsules.[7] Ajmera Realty group was also in the news when they jointly with Bakeri group purchased Ahmedabad's Calico Mills property at a government auction for Rs. 350 crores in 2010.[8] Rajnikant Ajmera, heading the group was elected as the President of CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India) in April 2007.[9] He served as President of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI).
