HistoryAlexander served as a high school for black students until the public schools were integrated in 1970, after which it was technically integrated, although very few white students ever attended. It was later combined with Moor High School to form East Oktibbeha County High School on the site of Moor High School.[1] Eventually, the Mississippi Legislature forced the predominantly white Starkville School District to merge with the Oktibbeha County School District to become the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District.[2] {{Portal|Mississippi|Schools}}References1. ^{{cite news |last1=Carskadon |first1=James |title=Push renewed to make use of former school buildings |url=https://www.starkvilledailynews.com/content/push-renewed-make-use-former-school-buildings |accessdate=21 January 2019 |newspaper=Starkville Daily News |date=27 May 2016}} {{Mississippi-school-stub}}2. ^"The Plan for Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170526084600/http://www.starkvillesd.com/the-plan-for-starkville-oktibbeha-consolidated-school-district/ |date=2017-05-26 }}."
