Alice König lectures in Latin and Classical Studies and is Director of the Centre for the Literatures of the Roman Empire at the University of St Andrews.[1]

König studied for her BA and MPhil at King's College, Cambridge, and her PhD at St. John's College, Cambridge.[1] She was the chair of the research network for Literary Interactions under Nerva, Trajan & Hadrian, a British Academy funded project.[2] König is a member of the Young Academy of Scotland established by the Royal Society of Edinburgh.[3] She has appeared on the BBC Radio 4 In Our Time panel as an expert on "Agrippina the Younger" (2016), "Pliny the Younger" (2013) and "Vitruvius' De Architectura" (2012).[1][4][5][6]
