It is a Grade II* listed building and stands on the west side of Church Lane on the northern edge of the village. HistoryThere is no reference to a church or priest in the entry for Pitsford in the Domesday Book.[1] Parts of the church date to the Norman conquest, with the tympanum over the main church door dating to that period.[2] The main structure of the present building was erected in the 12th to 14th centuries. Restoration in 1867 included rebuilding of the south aisle, porch and chancel and extensive internal alterations. The church consists of a nave, north and south aisles, chancel and west tower. Detailed descriptions appear on the Historic England website[3] and in the Victoria County History of Northamptonshire.[4] The parish registers survive from 1560, the historic registers being deposited at Northamptonshire Record Office.[5] Present dayOn 2 November 1954, the church was designated a Grade II* listed building.[3] Pitsford is part of a united benefice along with Boughton. Each parish retains its own church building.[6] References{{Commons category|All Saints' Church, Pitsford}}1. ^{{Cite web|title=Open Domesday – Pitsford|url=http://opendomesday.org/place/SP7568/pitsford/|accessdate=2015-09-30}} 2. ^{{cite web|title=All Saints, Pitsford|url=https://www.achurchnearyou.com/pitsford-allsaints/|website=A Church Near You|publisher=Archbishops' Council|accessdate=14 February 2017}} 3. ^1 {{National Heritage List for England|num=1067059|desc=CHURCH OF ALL SAINTS|grade=II*|access-date=2018-12-30}} 4. ^{{Cite web|title=A History of the County of Northampton|volume=4|pages=98–100|publisher=Victoria County History|location=London|year=1937|url=http://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/northants/vol4/pp98-100#h3-0003|accessdate=2015-09-30}} 5. ^{{Cite web|title=Parish Registers|publisher=Northamptonshire County Council|url=http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/en/councilservices/Community/archives/Documents/PDF%20Documents/Parish%20register%20list%20updated%20to%2028%20November%202013.pdf|accessdate=2015-10-02|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151002043256/http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/en/councilservices/Community/archives/Documents/PDF%20Documents/Parish%20register%20list%20updated%20to%2028%20November%202013.pdf|archive-date=2015-10-02|dead-url=yes|df=}} 6. ^{{Cite web|title=The Diocese of Peterborough – All Saints, Pitsford|url=https://www.peterborough-diocese.org.uk/find-a-church/find-a-church/church-details/281417|accessdate=2018-12-30}} 4 : Grade II* listed churches in Northamptonshire|13th-century church buildings in England|13th-century churches in the United Kingdom|14th-century church buildings in England |
