It is located on the foot of Şewarxa mountain, {{convert|2|km|mi}} southwest of Azaz, {{cvt|40|km|mi}} north of the city of Aleppo. The village administratively belongs to Nahiya Azaz in Azaz District. Nearby localities include Maraanaz {{cvt|2|km|mi}} to the east, on the western edge of the Queiq Plain, and Maryamin {{cvt|4|km|mi}} further to the west.
