HistoryAlwan was created in November 2014 in Iraq. It aims to document violations that happen in the MENA region, followed by writing reports, studies and make research on them systematically and objectively in order to guarantee the rights of victims. Many international and local human rights organizations, governmental and non-governmental, as well as a wide range of international, local and Arab news agencies have recognised their reports as references.[1] Vision and objectives[1]Alwan is detemined to document history so as not to falsify, and put pressure to stop violations and abuses against homosexuals in the Middle East and the refugees abroad in accordance with international laws and charters . As an independent and organized humanitarian organization of civil society organizations, the collective for gay rights is working on supporting all the oppressed LGBTQ community and protect them from all the violations they're facing. Their vision is a world where everyone has the inherent right to liberty, justice and human dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation, thought or social status. Their objective is to have a cooperation from all organizations, institutions and activists in monitoring and documenting human rights' violations, in order to spread the culture of civil work among young people in the human rights' field and especially in defending the LGBTQ community.
