Amy Fee (born c. 1982)[2] is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election.[3] She represents the riding of Kitchener South—Hespeler as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.

Fee was previously an elected trustee for Kitchener-Wilmot with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.[3]

Controversy

On February 6, 2019 Lisa MacLeod, flanked by Fee, announced sweeping changes to Ontario Autism Program intended to clear long waitlists by redistributing program funds. No new funds were added to the program budget, and Fee faced immediate backlash from parents and service providers including provincewide protests.[4]

On February 13, 2019 National Post reported that Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysts (ONTABA) had received a threatening message from Minister Lisa MacLeod's office. In the email ONTABA was directed to make a public statement in support of the changes to Ontario Autism Program (OAP) or face "four long years". MacLeod further threatened that if the message of support was not forthcoming, her office would release a press statement labelling ONTABA as "self-interested".[5] Immediate calls for MacLeod's resignation were rebuffed by the minister.[6] Fee offered no denial nor any defense of the minister's comments.[7]
