Lewis won gold in the men's PT2 paratriathlon at the 2016 Paralympics.[2] He also won Gold in the Paratriathlon World Championships in Rotterdam in 2016 & European Championships. BackgroundLewis joined the army in 1999, training with the Parachute Regiment. He also competed locally as a cross-country runner.[3] At the age of 16 he was involved in a motorcycle accident, which eventually resulted in a through the knee amputation in his right leg when he was 22.[1] CareerLewis took up paratriathlon in 2013 and began competing in 2014.
