She is the creative director of Beryl Qouture, a Ugandan fashion house. The Ugandan magazine, Satisfashion Uganda, named Beryl one of "The 40 Movers and Shakers of 2016", in December 2016.[1] Background and educationShe was born Anita Ahikiriza on 11 January 1986 in Bushenyi town, Bushenyi District in the Western Region of Uganda.[2] She is the firstborn to Jean Ahabwe, a teacher and Reverend Emmanuel Ahabwe.[2] She attended "Masheruka Modern Primary School", for her elementary schooling. She then transferred to Bweranyangi Girls' Senior Secondary School for her O-Level and A-Level studies. She was admitted to Uganda Christian University, in Mukono, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with English and English literature, as the two majors. Later, she attended UberGlam School of Fashion Design, in Gauteng, South Africa.
