Sometimes crawling under the floors, other times engaging in activities which range from looking sulky and checking their mobile phones, to masturbation and lighting small fires. Imhof was rewarded the prestigious Golden Lion award for "Best National Participation", in a much written about effort. This award is given to only one of the 85 exhibitions mounted in pavilions in the Giardini della Biennale and across Venice[5][6] References1. ^{{Cite news|url=http://www.numero.com/en/art/anne-imhof-performance-art-biennale-venise-2017-choregraphy|title=Will Anne Imhof be the artist of 2017 ?|date=2017-01-02|work=Numéro Magazine|access-date=2018-03-30|language=en}} 2. ^{{cite web |title=Anne Imhof: Angst {{!}} Kunsthalle Basel {{!}} Artsy |url=https://www.artsy.net/show/kunsthalle-basel-anne-imhof-angst |website=www.artsy.net |language=en}} 3. ^{{cite news |title=Anne Imhof Köln 2016 – Anne Imhof – Exhibitions – Galerie Buchholz |url=http://www.galeriebuchholz.de/exhibitions/anne-imhof-koln-2016/ |work=www.galeriebuchholz.de}} 4. ^{{cite web |last1=Fullerton |first1=Elizabeth |title=In London, Anne Imhof Talks About Her Kicking, Screaming Venice Biennale Hit ‘Faust’ |url=http://www.artnews.com/2017/05/30/in-london-anne-imhof-talks-about-her-kicking-screaming-venice-biennale-hit-faust/ |website=ARTnews |accessdate=10 June 2018 |date=30 May 2017}} 5. ^{{cite news |title=The Venice Biennale’s Big Winners: Anne Imhof, Hassan Khan, Franz Erhard Walther |url=http://observer.com/2017/05/anne-imhof-wins-golden-lion-venice-biennale/ |accessdate=10 June 2018 |work=Observer |date=15 May 2017}} 6. ^{{cite news |title=Anne Imhof, Fierce Young Artist and Choreographer, Wins Venice’s Top Prize |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/13/arts/anne-imhof-fierce-young-artist-and-choreographer-wins-venices-top-prize.html? |work=The New York Times |date=13 May 2017}} Further reading
