Antiochus ({{lang-grc|Ἀντίοχος}}) was a sculptor of ancient Greece from Athens, whose name is inscribed on his statue of the goddess Athena in the Villa Ludovisi at Rome.[1] It is unclear what became of the sculpture after the Villa Ludovisi was sold and torn down in 1885. This sculpture is in the style of many similar ancient renditions of Athena.[2] Notes1. ^{{cite book | last =Combe | first =Taylor | authorlink =Taylor Combe| title =A description of the collection of ancient marbles in the British Museum: with engravings | publisher = Nicol | volume =11 | date =1861 | pages =5 | url =https://books.google.ie/books?id=eBNBAAAAcAAJ | accessdate=2016-01-29}} 2 : Ancient Greek sculptors|Ancient Athenian sculptors |
