BiographyAraz Yaguboghlu was born in Yeni Dashkend Village of Barda Region of Azerbaijan Republic on August 1, 1973. Araz's father – Yagub Hajiyev was a famous engineer.[1] Yaguboghlu had gone to school of his native village. He studied well. He took the first place at the regional olympiad in mathematics in 1989. In the same period he was elected a secretary of the Komsomol organization of the school. After graduating from high school in 1990, Yaguboghlu started to work. He found a job in the cooperative 'Barda-Nushaba' for the workers on August 2, 1990. he was transferred to another job on February 1, 1991, and became a fitter at the concrete products plant. In 1991, Yaguboghlu entered the Azerbaijan Institute of Construction Engineers (now this university is called Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction). In his student years, not stopping from studying, he worked as a stage director at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater (from September 30, 1994 to December 31, 1994), simultaneously studying at the Baku Higher College of Managers in the specialty of building management. About him was written an article 'Exemplary student.' This article was published in the University newspaper For Construction Workers (October 26, 1994). He finished his studies at the Baku Higher College of Managers in 1995. A year later, in 1996, Yaguboghlu successfully graduated with honors from Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction in a specialty of industrial and civil engineering. Since 1992, the central newspapers, magazines, and also in various almanacs have published the poems and articles by Yaguboglu.[2] He won the “Qızıl Qələm” (“Golden Pen”) award in 2011.[3] Since January 2012 he has been working as a deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Laçın yurdu (Land of Lachin).[4] He is married and has two children. Participation in the Wikimedia movementYaguboglu became an active user of Wikipedia in the Azerbaijani language starting from April 30, 2010. During the voting held on September 23, 2013, he was elected an administrator of Wikipedia in the Azerbaijani language.
