EducationButterfield earned a B.A. degree, M.A. degree, and a PhD degree from Trinity College at Cambridge University in England, UK. Butterfield earned an M.A. degree in medieval English from University of Bristol in Bristol, England, UK.[2] CareerIn 2009, Butterfield co-founded the Medieval Song Network, a research group, in London, England, UK.[2][3] In 2012, Butterfield became a professor of English at Yale University.[2] In 2018, Butterfield became a senior research fellow at University of Cambridge.
