Geography and siteThe nature reserve is {{convert|4.6|ha|acre}} in size.[3] It has four lagoons, with the rest of the site being a mixture of trees, shrubs and wildflower meadows.[4] HistoryThe site was opened to the public in 1996 after a set of derelict sewage sludge lagoons, from gravel extraction, were converted into wetland habitats.[3][5] In 1998 the site was declared as a local nature reserve by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.[2] FaunaThe site has the following fauna:[4] Birds
