EducationMoss attended Yale University and earned a medical degree from Harvard Medical School before serving as an intern at Massachusetts General Hospital, starting in 1958. Moss was drafted into the United States Navy, where he first studied cardiology. While in the Navy, he was the physician involved in the Holter monitoring and interpretations of the astronaut monkey, Miss Baker, one of the first animals launched into space, after the successful flight and landing of a Jupiter rocket; subsequently, he did the same with the first human astronaut.[2] CareerUpon his discharge from the navy, Moss completed his residency and a fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He joined the faculty in 1966, and became known for his research on long QT syndrome.[3] Moss was later named the Bradford C.
