Arun Loganathan (born 1 July 1983) is an Indian magician, mentalist, escape artist and certified master hypnotist. He is the first Indian to win the Medal of Merlin in an International Arena. Arun is popularly called Arun The Mentalist.

Early life

Arun was born and brought up in Chennai, India.

Career

He is a lifetime member of the International Magicians Society. He has been performing in various stages for the past 17 years across internationally. He is a qualified law and management graduate.^[1]

Recognition

He was the first Indian to win the Medal of Merlin Best Close-up Magic, conducted in Bangkok in 2013. He was the second runner up in Close-up Magic conducted in Bangalore in 2012.^[2]

He holds four India Book of Records.

Fastest Escape from a zipped plastic bag, with his limbs being chained inside it, in 50 seconds
Fastest Straight Jacket Escape, being suspended upside down at a height of 40 ft from a crane in 1 minute and 35 seconds
Fastest Rope Escape, from a 100 ft long rope 50 seconds
Fastest Water escape, from a trap in which his limbs were tied and he was suspended upside down with a water tank kept below his head. He successfully escaped without his head completely submerging, in 2.5 minutes.^[3]^[3]^[4]
