Christensen (1966)[1] | synonyms_ref = | synonyms = }}Aspergillus leporis is an anamorph species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus.[1][2][3] It is from the Flavi section.[4] The species was first described in 1979.[5] It has been isolated from the dung of Lepus townsendii.[6] Aspergillus leporis produces leporin A and leporin B.[3][7][8] It has also been reported to produce antibiotic Y, kojic acid, and pseurotin.[4] Growth and morphologyA. leporis has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates.
