It was serialized online between May 2016 and December 2017 via Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app. It was collected in five tankōbon volumes. The manga is published in English by Viz Media.[1] An anime television series adaptation by Lerche has been announced and is scheduled to premiere in July 2019. PlotIn 2063, when space travel became possible and commercially viable, students at Caird High School go to their Planetary Camp. But soon after the B5 Group arrived at the site of its planetary camp, the mysterious and unforeseen intelligent light sphere brought its 9 members into outer space, taking them away 5012 light years from their home planet. With the discovery of an old unmanned spacecraft nearby, students must remain strong, manage their limited resources and remain united in the darkness of space so that they can all survive their long and probably dangerous journey home aboard the Aster.
