It was described by John David Bradley in 1962. It is found on the New Hebrides.[1] The wingspan is 12–14 mm. The forewings are warm buff, the whole wing is diffusely irrorated (sprinkled) with dark brown and fuscous scales with a weak purplish sheen. The stigmata are weak and obscure, the plical slightly basad of the discal, the second discal hardly discernible at the end of the cell in the middle. The hindwings are uniform whitish cream buff.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |first=Markku |last=Savela |url=http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/gelechioidea/autostichidae/autostichinae/autosticha/ |title=Autosticha Meyrick, 1886 |website=Lepidoptera and Some Other Life Forms |accessdate=September 23, 2017}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q13432291}}{{autostichinae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/bulletinofbritis12entoond#page/258/mode/1up Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) (Entomology) 12 (5): 258] 3 : Moths described in 1962|Autosticha|Moths of Oceania |
