Fish species present in the lake are northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, northern pike, carp, pumpkinseed sunfish, and brown bullhead. A monster known as big Tim is rumored to live in the caves at the bottom of the lake. There is a private boat launch that can be accessed by paying fee, located on the north shore off Outlet Road.[2] The lake is meromictic, meaning its deeper waters never mix with the surface layer.[3] See also
