In 1991, he was honored with a 'Distinguished Achievement Award' by the Society for Risk Analysis for his research achievements on risk analysis.[8] He serves as chair of the committees of U.S.Food and Drug Administration, the National Academy of Sciences[9] as well as the King's Centre for Risk Management.[10] He was also the past president of the Society for Risk Analysis[11] and Society for Judgment and Decision Making.[12] He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, Association for Psychological Science, Society of Experimental Psychologists and Society for Risk Analysis.[13] See also
