The organisationThe organization was founded in 1978[2] and has received a Certificate of Commemoration from Waverley Council as part of the council’s “local hero awards.”[3] The BOP van drives each Friday night providing free transport to teens and young adults who need a safe ride home. According to the service, the bus operates until 4:00AM in helping the young people get home safely.[4] The organization also refers clients with complex issues to legal services specializing in legal representation for youth.[4] The organisation’s Coordinator for over a decade was Sue Underwood. The organization received additional support from local businesses including the Coogee Bay Hotel and the Coogee Lions Club.[5][6] See also
