I'm back to that phase again."[2] After the release of her sixth studio album, Jackie, Ciara stated while working on Beauty Marks that the new album would see her undertaking a new musical direction.[3] On January 27, 2017, it was announced that Ciara had signed a deal with Warner Bros.
