It is a Grade II listed building and is now a private residence. HistoryBurges designed the vicarage in 1859.{{sfn|Pevsner|Neave|2005|pp=323-4}} His patron appears to be unrecorded.[1]{{sfn|Crook|2013|p=408}} Pevsner notes the vicarage is "a somewhat surprising house to find in a small Holderness village".{{sfn|Pevsner|Neave|2005|pp=323-4}} In the following year, Burges also drew up designs for the parish church but these were not executed.{{sfn|Pevsner|Neave|2005|pp=323-4}} ArchitectureThe vicarage is of red brick with a seven-bay frontage.{{sfn|Pevsner|Neave|2005|pp=323-4}} Anthony Jennings describes the building as in Burges's "eccentric Northern French fairytale style".{{sfn|Jennings|2009|p=117}} Its interior retains "many original features, including the staircase and a number of fireplaces".{{sfn|Pevsner|Neave|2005|pp=323-4}} The building is Grade II listed.[1] Notes1. ^1 {{NHLE|num=1249413|desc=THE OLD VICARAGE, Bewholme |accessdate=25 June 2017}} References
