The palace complex, located Hadigau, was incorporated in an impressive and vast array of courtyards, furnishings and guest halls. Bhatbhateni Durbar was built by Bir Shumsher JBR in late 1800s.[1] HistoryBhatbhateni Durbar was built by Bir Shumsher JBR in late 1800s occupying a land area of 160 ropani as a private residence for his second son Dharma Shumsher.[2] In 1901 after Bir Shamsher's death Dharma Shamsher JBR, moved to this palace from Seto Durbar. After Dharma Shumshers Death all his property along with Bhatbhateni palace was inherited to his adopted son (Gehendra Shamsher JBRs second son) Ekaraj Shumsher.[1] After Ekaraj Shimsher's death in 1932 entire Palace and its land were torn apart and sold . Current StatusToday nothing remains of this historical Bhatbhateni Durbar.[1] Most of the land occupied by Bhatbhateni Super market and Anti Corruption Bureau stands on the grounds of Bhatbhateni Durbar[3] See also
