LifeHe earned a PhD from the University of Chicago in 1967. In the late 60s, he taught at the University of Chicago, and at Brooklyn College.[1] He helped organize the 1967 March on the Pentagon.[2][3][4] In the late 1970s, he helped organize for rent control in Santa Monica.[5] Bill Zimmerman is a co-founder of the political consulting firm, Zimmerman and Markman. He was featured in the Ken Burns/Lynn Novick series "The Vietnam War," shown on PBS. Zimmerman also wrote "Troublemaker: A Memoir from the Front Lines of the Sixties." Works
