Its primary focus is in Asia and the company's clients include companies in the mining, power, coal, renewable energy, and oil industries.[1] Blackpanda was also retained by Resorts World Manila to review and enhance their security following its 2 June 2017 casino attack.[2] The company's personnel include former members of the special forces of the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and the Philippines, who have experience in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.[1] Gene Yu, a former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces and who negotiated the freedom of a Taiwanese national that was held hostage by Islamic militants in the Philippines,[3] is Blackpanda's CEO and co-founder of the company.
