One example of a "Black Swan" fund is Universa, which was founded by Mark Spitznagel and advised by Nicholas Taleb.[1][2] During the 2007 - 2008 financial crisis the fund posted returns of over 100%.[3] In August 2015, Universa Investments made more than $1 billion in profits in one week, representing a 20% YTD return.[4] References1. ^{{cite web |url=https://www.wsj.com/articles/nassim-talebs-black-swan-fund-made-1-billion-this-week-1440793953 |title=A ‘Black Swan' Fund Makes $1 Billion |newspaper=The Wall Street Journal |date= |author= |accessdate= October 31, 2015}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Black Swan Funds}}{{finance-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.valuewalk.com/2015/08/universa-investments/ |title=Universa Investments Nets $1B On Black Monday |newspaper=Valuewalk.com |date= |author= |accessdate= October 31, 2015}} 3. ^{{Cite news|url=https://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/09/24/a-hedge-fund-manager-who-doesnt-mind-a-losing-bet|title=A Hedge Fund Manager Who Doesn't Mind a Losing Bet|last=Stevenson|first=Alexandra|work=DealBook|access-date=2018-02-21|language=en}} 4. ^{{Cite news|url=https://www.marketwatch.com/story/nassim-talebs-black-swan-fund-made-1-billion-this-week-2015-08-28-171033431|title=Nassim Taleb’s ‘Black Swan’ fund made $1 billion this week|last=Chung|first=Juliet|work=MarketWatch|access-date=2018-02-21|language=en-US}} 2 : Funds|Black swans |
