}}Blue Swan Records is an American independent record label founded by American musician and Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan.[1][2]

Background

Blue Swan Records was launched by Dance Gavin Dance, Secret Band, and Sianvar co-founder and guitarist Will Swan in early 2013. Swan serves as CEO and founder. Stolas guitarist Sergio Medina serves as Vice President. The label coined the term "swancore", referring to the dynamic and technical playing style which is characteristic of the bands on its roster.[3]

Swanfest

Swanfest is a music festival announced on November 9, 2018.[4] The first annual festival took place on March 30, 2019 in Anaheim, California. The reasoning behind the music festival, according to a press release by Dance Gavin Dance, was that they have "worked with countless stylistically unique bands, so we decided it would be a great idea [...] to personally curate our own festival that included a lineup of bands that are not only musicians that we respect and have built bonds with on the road, but in some cases have become close, personal friends." The line-up from the first annual festival included Periphery, Don Broco, Crown the Empire, Veil of Maya, Intervals, Volumes, Eidola, and Strawberry Girls, among others.[5]
