He played for rugby league as a professional for Oldham, Kent Invicta and Fulham RLFC. He played as a {{rlp|sr}}. He was the manager at Kent Invicta.[4] He represented England in rugby union on one occasion.[5] At club level his played his rugby union for Rosslyn Park, and represented Middlesex at county level.[6] He played as a flanker.
