}} Bogga is a genus of land planarians from South America, currently comprising a single species, Bogga bogotensis, which occurs in Bogotá, Colombia. DescriptionSpecies of Bogga have a large and broad, flat body. The copulatory apparatus lacks a permanent penis, but the male atrium is lined by multiple musculo-glandular papillae. The ovovitelline ducts enter the female atrium at the same time, without joining to form a common duct.[1] EtymologyThe name Bogga is a portmanteau of the specific epithet of the type species, bogotensis, and Amaga, another genus in the same subfamily in which the species was previously classified.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite journal|last1=Grau|first1=José Horacio|last2=Sluys|first2=Ronald|last3=Froehlich|first3=Eudóxia Maria|last4=Carbayo|first4=Fernando|title=Reflections on the genus Amaga Ogren and Kawakatsu 1990, and description of a new genus of land planarian (Platyhelminthes: Tricladida: Geoplanidae)|journal=Journal of Natural History|volume=46|issue=25-26|year=2012|pages=1529–1546|issn=0022-2933|doi=10.1080/00222933.2012.691996}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q21446415}} 2 : Geoplanidae|Rhabditophora genera |
