Its branches and leaves and some flower parts are moderately hairy. The leaves are {{convert|6-20|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|5-25|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide in outline with five or seven linear to narrow elliptic leaflets. The end leaflet is {{convert|6-12|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|0.5-1|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide and the side leaflets are {{convert|4-11|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|0.5-1|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide. The flowers are sessile and arranged singly in leaf axil|s. The flowers are white to pink, the sepals larger than the petals. The four sepals are triangular, {{convert|4-6|mm|in|sigfig=2|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|1.5-3|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide but increase in size as the fruit develops. The four petals are {{convert|3-5|mm|in|sigfig=2|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|1-2|mm|in|sigfig=1|abbr=on}} wide. Flowering occurs from November to August.[2]Taxonomy and namingBoronia decumbens was first formally described in 1997 by Marco Duretto who published the description in Nuytsia.[3][4] The specific epithet (decumbens) is a Latin word meaning "lying down" or "reclining",[5] referring to the usual habit of this species.[4]Distribution and habitatThis boronia grows in woodland in Kakadu National Park north of the Mary River and the Waterfall Creek turnoff.[2][6] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Boronia decumbens|url= https://biodiversity.org.au/nsl/services/apc-format/display/154139|publisher=Australian Plant Census|accessdate=4 March 2019}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q15387854}}2. ^1 {{cite journal |last1=Duretto |first1=Marco |title=Systematics of Boronia section Valvatae sensu lato (Rutaceae) |journal=Muelleria |date=1999 |volume=12 |issue=1 |page=108 |url=https://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/documents/Pages_from_Muelleria_12(1),_p87-131,_Duretto,_Sytematics_Boronia-3.pdf |accessdate=2 February 2019}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Boronia decumbens|url= https://id.biodiversity.org.au/instance/apni/560151|publisher=APNI|accessdate=4 March 2019}} 4. ^1 {{cite journal |last1=Duretto |first1=Marco F. |title=Taxonomic notes on Boronia species of north-western Australia, including a revision of the Boronia lanuginosa group (Boronia section Valvatae: Rutaceae |journal=Nuytsia |date=1997 |volume=11 |issue=3 |pages=323–326 |url=https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/225409#page/33/mode/1up |accessdate=4 March 2019}} 5. ^{{cite book|last1=Brown|first1=Roland Wilbur|title=The Composition of Scientific Words|date=1956|publisher=Smithsonian Institution Press|location=Washington, D.C.|page=255}} 6. ^{{cite web |title=Boronia decumbens |url=http://eflora.nt.gov.au/factsheet?id=20234 |publisher=Northern Territory Government; Flora NT |accessdate=4 March 2019}} 4 : Boronia|Flora of the Northern Territory|Plants described in 1997|Taxa named by Marco Duretto |
