As of 2016 there were about three-hundred franchise locations.[9][10] As of 2017 the company employed 100,000 nurses and caregivers.[11][12] In 2018, there were 329 BrightStar Care locations.[13] That year BrightStar Care also acquired Iowa-based HomeChoice Senior Care.[14][15][16] The company provides assisted-living and memory care, in addition to other forms of care,[17] such as ALS care.[18] BusinessesBrightStar is a source of in-home nurses[19] and care assistance for the elderly, temporarily infirmed, and ill;[20] in addition to physical, speech and occupational therapies for children and others.[21] Franchises are each known by the name “BrightStar Care of”, followed by the location’s city or region of the state.
