It is provided with numerous astronomical catalogues, conversion utilities and tools, as well as several miscellaneous databases. C2A was originally created by Frenchman Philippe Deverchère, who continues to develop and maintain the application. Aside from being an advanced planetarium application, C2A's functionality includes the ability to control computerised GoTo telescope mounts,[1] and it is ASCOM compliant.
