LocationCaheravoley lies {{Convert|3.6|km|abbr=on}} southwest of Corofin, County Galway and west of the River Clare.[3] HistoryCaheravoley was built in the early Christian era.[4] It was used as a protected farmstead, as indicated by the name: cathair dhá bhuaile, "circular fort of two milking-places."
