It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.[1] It was the result of blatant election tampering, in which votes on bond authorization were falsified. Voters had actually turned down the funding for a replacement to the previous courthouse which had burned in 1906. Proponents of the new courthouse cheated to get what they wanted.[3] It is a three-story brick building designed in Classical Revival style [2]References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2013a}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=86000287}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination: Calloway County Courthouse |publisher=National Park Service|author= |date= |accessdate=April 21, 2018}} With {{NRHP url|id=86000287|photos=y|title=accompanying five photos from 1985}} {{Kentucky-NRHP-stub}} 4 : Courthouses in Kentucky|National Register of Historic Places in Calloway County, Kentucky|Neoclassical architecture in Kentucky|Government buildings completed in 1913 |
