He played college football at Texas Tech. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Titans in 2018. Early lifeBatson grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and attended Millwood High School, where he played quarterback on the football team. As a senior, Batson threw for more than 2,000 yards and rushed for more than 1,000 yards and was named the Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year for football and was a first team All-State selection.[1] Additionally, Batson was the valedictorian of his class at Millwood.[2] College careerOver the course of four seasons with the Red Raiders, Batson caught 157 passes for 1,499 yards and 14 touchdowns in 50 games played.[3] He was a 3-time All-Big 12 Academic Team Selection and graduated with a degree in accounting.[4] Professional careerBatson signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018.[5] He initially made the 53-man roster out of training camp but was waived by the team on September 17 after being inactive for the first two games of the season.[6] Batson was subsequently re-signed to the Titans practice squad the next day.[7] Batson was promoted from the practice squad to the Titans active roster on October 10, 2018.[8] He made his NFL debut on October 14 in a 21-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, returning one punt for no gain.[9] He recorded his first career reception, catching a pass from Marcus Mariota for no gain, against the Los Angeles Chargers in a Week 7 loss.[10] On December 6, 2018, in a 30-9 Week 14 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Batson muffed a punt return and was tackled in the end zone for a safety.
