Carfrae Bastle is a small ruined tower house, about {{convert|5|mi}} north of Lauder, Scottish Borders, Scotland, near Hillhouse[1]HistoryThe bastle is of medieval origin. StructureThe overgrown remains, of rubble masonry, stand to first floor height. The structure, {{convert|10.5|m}} by {{convert|5.5|m}}, is divided into two compartments.[2] There is a vaulted basement while the remains of a round stair-tower[1] stand in the south east angle.[2] See also- Castles in Great Britain and Ireland
