It has a fractional sloop rig, a raked stem, a vertical transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a fixed wing keel. It displaces {{convert|1500|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|425|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of ballast.[1] The boat has a draft of {{convert|2.33|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard wing keel fitted.[1] The boat is normally fitted with a small outboard motor for docking and maneuvering.[1] The design has a hull speed of {{convert|5.41|kn|km/h|2|abbr=on}}.[4] See also
