It was replaced in production in 2012 by the Catalina 315.[1][3][4] DesignThe Catalina 310 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel. It displaces {{convert|10300|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|4000|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of ballast.[1] The design has a draft of {{convert|5.75|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard fin keel fitted and {{convert|4.83|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the optional shoal draft wing keel.[1] The boat is fitted with a Japanese Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine of {{convert|27|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}}. The fuel tank holds {{convert|27|u.s.gal}} and the fresh water tank has a capacity of {{convert|35|u.s.gal}}.[1] The boat has a PHRF racing average handicap of 171 with a high of 181 and low of 165.
