The engine is 32.1 liters in displacement (1959 cubic inches). The cylinder size is 5.71 x 6.38 bore/stroke. Caterpillar C32 is the most power-dense high-speed diesel engine[2] of Caterpillar. The engine can produce 600-1800 horsepower at 2300 RPM. The peak torque occurs at an engine speed of 1500 RPM. The engine weighs over three tonnes at 6780 pounds.
