She continued on to the University of Baltimore, where she obtained her Master of Business Administration in 2007.[3] As of 2015, she was pursuing studies leading up to a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Nairobi.[3] CareerFollowing her graduation with her MBA degree, Ms Karita was employed by the Bank of America (BOA), for a period ending in 2009, when she returned to her native Kenya.[3] She spent four years at BOA in various sales positions and in relationship management.[4] She was hired by CfC Stanbic Financial Services Limited in Nairobi, Kenya, as the Head of Corporate and Institutional Sales, effective in 2009.
