}} | The Catinat class was a class of protected cruisers of the French Navy. The class comprised Catinat and Protet. DesignThe ships of the class were {{convert|98.09|m|ftin|0}} long, had a beam of {{convert|13.59|m|ftin|0}}, a draught of {{convert|6.43|m|ftin|0}}, and had a displacement of 4,048 ton. The ships were equipped with 2 shaft reciprocating engines, which were rated at {{convert|9500|ihp|abbr=on}} and produced a top speed of {{convert|19.5|kn|km/h}}. The ships had deck armour of {{convert|2.8|in|cm|abbr=on}}, {{convert|4|in|cm|abbr=on}} conning tower armour and a complement 400 men.
