In 1858, Georges's son, Constant Cattin, established a company named Cattin, a specialized manufacturer of pocket watches. In the early 20th century, its pocket watch was adopted as an official pocket watch for the Swiss National Railways. In 1958, at the 100th anniversary of the business, the company name and brand were changed to Catorex, which was registered as a trade mark.[3][4][5] Catorex manufactured a small number of watches during 1960-70s, and then focused on the manufacturing of pocket watches, which had been generally declining in production in the industry.{{Sfn|Japan Watch Importors’ Association|2015|p=40}} The firm announced a limited edition of 499 pieces for a new world collection at Baselworld, produced as an homage for the history of its own company.
